Coverage without Cost!
- At no obligation or cost, LymphaCare will verify your coverage & benefits to determine if we can provide the sequential pump or other products.
- In almost every case we are able to accept the final amount your plan pays after all deductibles and co-pays.
- As a result, we often can provide the pump with NO co-pay deposit or out of pocket expense to our patients! Low overhead, and personal service allows us to do this, as customers from NY to Hawaii can attest.
- *Reidsleeve or Tribute foam night time garments (not pump garments) may require a deposit because they are custom made to order.
- We will coordinate a letter of medical necessity or prescription from your physician, obtain a pre-authorization with your insurance plan when necessary, and submit the paperwork.
- Our aim is to provide only the best possible REIMBURSED products for our patients.
- However, custom made foam night time garments (not pump garments) may require a deposit because they are custom made to order.
- Other providers often require a co-payment deposit or will bill you for balance the on the lymphedema pumps! If you try to obtain a pump from a local medical store, another supplier, or your insurance directly, you may end up with the cheapest and least effective product, and often putting out money for a deposit or copayment. We will try to explain levels of benefits and features with an analogy to automobiles.
- For most of our patients we are able to provide a "Lexus" level of pump which meets the top governement reimbursement standards of HCPCS code E0652. These pumps usually have 4-10 chambers and allow adjustability in each chamber for many patients that have sensitive parts of the limb.
- Medicare usually allows the HCPCS code E0651 or "Chevy" version of the pump, which is effective, but does not offer the adjustability in the chambers for increased comfort and control. In some circumstances Medicare will approve the "Lexus" version, but only after trying the lesser pumps first.
- The least expensive or effective pump is like a "Model T". The HCPCS code E0650 pump is a single chamber device. This only offers an "up and down" balloon type single chamber inflation that has little effect and can possibly damage the limb. This is what some medical suppliers may try to have you purchase, because they don't know what else is available to patients under Medicare or private insurance.
